short and sweet

Just wanted to drop a few little lines this morning!  I spent last weekend at home with my precious Mamaw and we really enjoyed just hanging out together.  She surprised me with a Kindle, how awesome?!  I bought a Patagonia case that perfectly holds the Kindle and my planner.  I love when I can get multiple uses out of something.  After such a good weekend, I had to head back to the Boro for a little bit of work.
I found this sweet little nugget catching some rays by our pool!

But, I soon rolled out of Sboro on the two wheels I screeched in on, and I was ATL bound for....yepp....KINGS OF LEON! Ahhhhhhhh!  I'm probably not that excited about them.
About two years ago I had the awesome opportunity to see them at Phillips Arena.  We had (free) floor tickets and it was by far one of the best concerts I've ever been to.  I'm also probably not that obsessed with them! Anyways, today, Anna and I will be watching them from our VIP Box. They are just one of my favorite bands ever (obviously).  I could ramble about all the reasons I think they are a unique and noteworthy band but, I'll save you.

So my next post will be about the concert, hopefully with a lot of pictures, and my weekend.
Talk at ya lata alligatas!

l-o-n-g overdue

Well, it appears it's been quite a minute since I've last posted.  I've just been working, moving and turning my life upside down in the between time.  I have officially moved all of my life back to the good ol' Watermelon Capital.  I'll be staying in my sweet friend's bedroom until I finish up my job this summer.  Abbye has to be one of the most precious people in the world and she's currently studying abroad in Madrid.  You can check out her travels if you'd like http://viajesdeverano2011.blogspot.com/ . I've selfishly missed her dearly (even though there's Skype), but I know she is having the most amazing experience and I couldn't be more happier for her or all of the other crazy ladies sharing the trip.

Lately I've been so stressed over whether to go to Florida State or Georgia State for my graduate education.  It's really been an extensive process and needless to say, I'll be glad when I've officially decided where I will be for the next two years.
To add to the stress, my best friend Anna and I won't be living together for the first time in 4+ years.  I mean, we were in the same kindergarten class, like..we're legit best friends forever.  Here's some fun pictures we took July 4th weekend with sparklers.

This past weekend, Laura Lyn and I played chaperone to her little sister's birthday party.  I realized quite a few things...
  1. I miss having no responsibilities and the free sense of childhood.
  2. I truly enjoy LL's family and the love/passion they put into everything they do.
  3. Pappy Jacks > Blue Hole (any given day of the week)
  4. I'm rather fond of filming life in general.  Just everyday things.  I already like to take pictures of everything but recording it...that's where the real fun lies.
Here's a photo I snapped of the group hanging out at Pappys.  This is what I miss.

Well, I suppose that's enough of an update for now.  I'd like to promise to try to be more frequent, I just always lose track trying to enjoy life, so no complaints!
